We were thrilled to co-host a very special fundraising afternoon in Cambridge, featuring stars from the beloved BBC television series Call the Midwife. The event was held in partnership with another excellent local charity, and brought together supporters from across the city and beyond.
The afternoon featured talks, readings, and a chance to meet some of the cast members in person. Guests enjoyed refreshments and the opportunity to hear first-hand about the work of both charities — and the real-life stories that inspire the show's portrayal of community, compassion, and care.
The event was a wonderful success, raising vital funds and awareness for the Trust's work supporting vulnerable young women at Whitworth House. It was heartening to see so many people come together in the spirit of generosity and community.
We are deeply grateful to Little St Mary's Church for hosting, to all who attended and donated, and to the cast members who gave their time so generously. Events like these remind us of the incredible goodwill that exists in Cambridge and the difference it can make.
