Celebrate, support and share at our AGM

Our 2023 Annual General Meeting was a truly special occasion, bringing together long-standing supporters, new friends, and representatives from partner organisations for an afternoon of celebration, reflection, and looking ahead.

We were delighted to be joined by representatives from Orwell Housing, who manage Whitworth House day to day. They shared updates on the House, the residents, and the evolving support programmes in place to help young women build independent, fulfilling lives.

Representatives from intersecting charities also attended, highlighting the collaborative network of support that exists across Cambridge for vulnerable young people. It was inspiring to hear how different organisations work together to provide a safety net for those who need it most.

The meeting took place at Little St Mary's Church on Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QJ — a beautiful and fitting setting for an afternoon of community and connection.

We shared highlights from the year, including the impact of donations on residents' lives, updates on fundraising initiatives, and plans for the coming months. There was plenty of time for questions, conversation, and refreshments.

Whether attendees were long-term champions of the House or discovering our work for the first time, we were delighted to welcome everyone. The energy and goodwill in the room was a powerful reminder of why this work matters so much.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. If you'd like to attend future events, please email whitworthtrust@gmail.com — we would love to see you.
